The story behind AURA Memorial

The origin

En 2020, j'ai eu l'honneur de fabriquer l'urne funéraire de mon grand-père paternel. Faire l'expérience de fabriquer un objet aussi précieux et chargé de sens a été révélateur quant à la direction que je souhaitais donner à ma pratique en céramique.

This was followed by several years of research and experimentation to learn to work with this ancient technique, where earth, fire, and time co-create with me objects imbued with authenticity and meaning.

The vision

Aura Memorial is a portal to objects that honor life, death, and the sacred bond that unites them. Through this door, I wish to share what I have been exploring for years in my studio and discovering through fire: the beauty of the cycle, the light in transformation, and the presence in ritual.

Each piece is designed as an ally for a moment of passage — an anchoring object to reflect, remember, and celebrate the continuity of life.

The collections of urns, reliquaries, and commemorative objects are thoughtfully crafted with care, respect, and intention. No two pieces are ever identical — each bears witness to its unique position within the fire. They carry the trace of breath, earth, and the alchemical encounter that renews itself each time.
